What does a small-business website cost in the US?

Quotes for the same site can differ wildly, and most of the difference comes from a handful of choices. Here is what drives the price, what it costs after launch, and what we charge.

Why quotes vary so much

Ask five providers for a website and you can get five very different numbers. Usually they are not quoting the same thing. One is quoting a template with your logo on it, another is quoting custom design, copy, SEO setup and a year of hosting.

Before you compare prices, compare scope. The questions below matter more than the headline number.

What actually drives the cost

  • Number of pages and how much content each one needs.
  • Custom design versus an adapted template.
  • Who writes the copy and who provides the photos.
  • Features beyond pages: a store, bookings, a calculator, a customer area.
  • Technical SEO, structured data and a Google Business Profile, or none of it.
  • One language or two - a bilingual English and Spanish site is more work than one.
  • Moving an existing site without losing its rankings and links.
  • Who hosts it, updates it and fixes it after launch.

The costs that show up after launch

The build is a one-off. Running the site is not. Budget for these, whoever builds it:

  • Hosting and security updates.
  • Domain renewal, every year.
  • Backups and someone watching that the site stays up.
  • Paid apps or plugins, which on some builders add up month by month.
  • Payment processing fees, charged by your payment provider on each sale.
  • Small changes: new prices, new photos, a new service.

How the options compare

There is no single right answer. This is how the usual routes tend to differ. Every provider is different, so treat it as a starting point for your questions.

What we charge, and why it is fixed

We publish our prices so you do not have to ask. In the US and everywhere outside Colombia we charge in dollars:

  • Professional Site - USD 4,000. Up to about 6 pages, two real design directions, technical SEO, your Google Business Profile and your own admin for text, services and blog. 2 to 4 weeks.
  • Integrated Site - USD 5,900. Everything in the Professional Site plus one module on our engine: a store, bookings or an interactive tool. 4 to 6 weeks.
  • Something bigger - a custom proposal with a signed contract, 50% to start and dates in the proposal.
  • Care - required while we host you, from USD 45 a month depending on the size of the site. It covers hosting, updates, backups, monitoring and small fixes. The exact figure is in your proposal.

Questions to ask any provider

  • Whose name is the domain registered in?
  • What is the monthly cost after launch, and what does it cover?
  • What can I edit myself, and what needs you?
  • Is technical SEO included, or is it extra?
  • How many design options do I see before building starts?
  • What happens, and what does it cost, if I want to leave?
  • Is the timeline written into the proposal?

When a builder is the better call

If you need a single page with your hours and a phone number, or you are testing an idea before spending real money, a DIY builder can be the honest answer. We would rather tell you that than sell you a build you do not need.

A custom site pays off when the site has a job to do: bring in enquiries, sell, take bookings, or be found on Google and in AI answers.

Questions

How much is your cheapest website?

The Professional Site is USD 4,000 for clients outside Colombia. It includes up to about 6 pages, two design directions, technical SEO and your own admin.

Is there a monthly fee?

Yes. Care is required while we host you, from USD 45 a month depending on the size of the site. It covers hosting, updates, backups, monitoring and small fixes. Growth plans on top are optional and can be paused.

How much does an online store cost?

A store is one of the modules in the Integrated Site, USD 5,900. It runs on our own commerce engine with products, orders, payments and inventory. Larger stores get a custom proposal.

Do you work with businesses in every state?

Yes. We work remotely with businesses across all 50 US states, in English or Spanish. We are based in Pereira, Colombia.

Do I own the website?

The domain is registered in your name from day one, and once the project is paid the design, pages, content and configuration are yours. The engine the site runs on is ours and licensed to you. If you leave, you can keep running your version for free, or we migrate it for a fixed price.

Is there a guarantee?

For 90 days after launch, anything we built that does not work as agreed in the technical scope is fixed at no cost.
